Draw this Again! by JohnVichlenski Draw this Again! by JohnVichlenski
This contest looked fun. Not to mention I seem to do a lot of
redraws :) This piece meant a lot to me so I figured I would enter
it in my first :devart: contest.

I really love the improvement of and the impact of the composition in the last piece.

I like it a lot! Great illustration on how the final version of a piece is truly often strongest, but always interestingly related to where it begins. I especially love the subtle gradient in the last panel...glad you chose to do this contest...and as always, wonderful handling of traditional media--especially for a digital artist! :)

Thanks! I'm not sure which one I like best (2 or 3). They are both different
though it is the same mood and feeling as well as the same elements in the
drawings. The newest one means a lot to me though because it wasn't just
a redraw but more therapy for the depression I've been in recently. The first
two pieces were therapeutic during a time of depression as well, but the
newest one was much more effective. I'm glad you like the new gradient :)
I was real happy with how that looks. I'm glad you like it and I can now
say that depression subsided since I did this project so it served its purpose.
Now to move on to fun and happy stuff :D

This may seem strange, but I miss the wispy cloud in the latest version. The position of the elements is better, but the loss of the cloud and the background hill just... it flattens it out I guess?

Thanks for your comment. I was going for a different look for the sky this time so I left the cloud out.
